Stop Metal Rust is an Oak Ridge Foam & Coating Systems brand. Oak Ridge manufactures industrial polyurea — OR93BL, the Flak Jacket line, and 7001 primer — and this site exists for the specific situation where corrosion is already underway and somebody needs to decide what to do about it.
That decision has three possible answers, and only two of them involve buying coating from us. Sometimes the steel is sound and sealing it is straightforward. Sometimes it needs partial repair first and then sealing. And sometimes the thickness readings say the member is finished and the only honest advice is replacement.
We give that third answer regularly. A membrane sprayed over steel that needed a welder does not stop anything — it hides it, and it makes the eventual failure more expensive and more surprising.
We ship material nationwide, quote wholesale to contractors and distributors, and refer single-asset work to applicators in the field.

Remedial corrosion work is a good business to be in — the customer has already decided something must be done, and the competition is often a painting contractor whose product will not survive the surface.
What it demands is prep discipline and honesty about the reduced-warranty condition on SP3 overcoating. Put that in the proposal in writing. Contractors who do get repeat work; ones who let it surface after the fact do not.
